Clear Blue Easy
In 1997, Lynch produced a commercial for the Clear Blue Easy pregnancy tests.
The woman was played by
Marisa Corradino.
"David Lynch, the film maker best known for making movies that nobody understands, took time off from accepting awards in France, to direct commercial spots for "Clear Blue Easy," the at-home pregnancy test. This version was only produced after executives rejected a previous script by Lynch in which a woman has a dream sequence involving a decomposing ear, a yak in a harlequin suit, and a dwarf gynacologist with a freakishly long index finger. Clear Blue Easy decided on Lynch after rejecting Martin Scorcese's version where the women finds out she's been impregnated by her brutal
husband, who wrestles with a "madonna-whore" complex, and fears that she would rather sleep with his
brother, so he smashes her face."
